The House of Courage truly is a life saver. I was on the last legs of my life and had a lot of issues I needed to deal with. When I arrived they gave me an excellent tour of the house and introduced me to all the residents and staff members. Everyone welcomed me with open arms and I instantly felt accepted and appreciated for who I was for the first time in a long time. I felt right at home within easily the first day. I did a 2 month program and can honestly say it changed my life for the better and has helped me become an all around better person. You will never get bored at The House of Courage because there is an endless amount of activities to do. The house has an amazing feel to it and it feels like your walking into somebody's home not just some large facility. This was my first recovery center and I believe it will be my only recovery center because the things I have learned through the program will for sure help me to stay clean and sober. If your worried about the food don't be because I honestly felt I was eating at a 5 star restaurant every single day. If your ready to change your life for the better and live a sober, clean and successful life then I definitely recommend The House of Courage. Thank you too Christine and Barry and all the staff for making my stay as amazing as possible.

I was homeless, on my last chance with all those that had ever extended love to me, and was just floating day to day with no purpose, barely surviving. My parents suggested I try to look for some help, and it was clear this was their last ditch effort: they had recently discovered how much power my addictions had over me and were forced to ask me to leave their place due to my abominable behaviours and my lackluster state of being. I began by scouring the internet for recovery centers, only to stumble upon places that were far too expensive, too clinical seeming ( I would not have been open minded in a hospital setting) or simply were half way across the country. One morning I came across this website, and my fate changed forever. Christine answered my call and immediately, we connected ( perhaps on account of our French heritage). When complete, she spoke to my Father and we exchanged a few more words, prior to her asking me to come to HOC the following Monday ( it was Friday afternoon!). I was definitely surprised on how quickly she took action and helped my start my healing. I signed up for a 30 day program and was very engaged and open minded, but at the 26 day mark I decided, based on some points that had come up in group therapy, that I wasn't ready and hadn't dealt with some big underlying issues. Christine offered a tailored 30 day follow-up program to help me reintegrate with the world. At this point, I had rediscovered my passion for cooking and was helping around as much as I could, it made me feel whole and human again, she recognized this as well. The second 30 days flew by and I had never felt so good. House of Courage gave me back my life : Christine has this way of getting into your head and helping you break your walls down so you truly can be honest with yourself and others. I cannot thank HOC enough, and I would recommend it to anyone struggling in their life with addiciton or any other emotional or behavioural issue.

Thanks to the House of Courage I have recently surpassed the 9 month mark of sobriety. Christine and Barry...I can't thank you enough for helping me save myself from myself. I tried to stop drinking so many times on my own and always found another reason to stop at the liquor store. Your program in addition to making me feel like part of your family has forever changed my life. I look at everything differently now and can't imagine ever not being clean and sober ever again. I've never felt better physically, mentally or emotionally and I am extremely happy with my life. For those of you reading this and considering getting help...don't hesitate to call Christine. The fact you are reading this means you know you need help. The facility is amazing. It's a home. Not a hospital. The accommodations are unreal and the property is beautiful. It's not run like a prison and everyone is treated like a family member. Pool, hot tub, gym, sauna and so much more. Barry and Christine go out of their way to make you feel at home and your guests as well when they visit on Sundays. The food is amazing, coffee is hot and there is usually no shortage of ice cream lol.

Call Christine. Save and change your life forever.
