Best thing I ever did for myself and my family was go to the House of Courage. Wow what a place this is, I hated myself, my life, and my behaviors when i when I walked through those doors. I had a 60 day program that changed my life, they helped me with my addictive personality, my self esteem, self confidence, my way of thinking and so much more. This program was very tailored to my needs which was very important to me i was not just a number. I loved the family atmosphere, the facilities, the staff, and of course the food. I feel i have the tools to move forward and have the fulfilling happy and productive life I deserve and want. I love myself again and am so looking forward to the future.

If you want to get help look no further than the House of Courage, these people are here to do nothing but help you SUCCEED.

Thank you so very much to Christine, Barry, Lorraine, Phil and of course Cooper and Garfield you will forever be in my thoughts and heart.

I went to HOC in February for 30 days, for things I've carried around with me for years, destructive behaviours and thinking patterns, and substance abuse. I didn't want to go (but deep down I knew that I would benefit from this and was not in a good place in my life) and was really pushed by my parents to go. Christine knew this, and was so gentle and understanding with facilitating my move from Vancouver. It was scary times, as it was far from home and unknown territories, but it was so worth it. Although I am not living a life of sobriety, I can say that I am truly happy where I am right now, and am in a really good place in my life. The programming that Christine offers is so insightful, and really makes you look inside and figure out why you behave the way you do, and offers an amazing way of letting go of past events and behaviours that effect you. Walking out of HOC, and to this day, my self esteem and self love is so much higher, I am more assertive, and have more impulse control. I am better at not taking things personally, and living a life for ME. Although I get myself into ruts sometimes, I always remember what she has taught me, and I couldn't be more grateful.
The love, understanding, and non judgemental approach that Christine, and staff, have for the people there is unbelievable. Everything is from the heart, which makes the world a difference.
HOC also does their best to accommodates everyone needs. Food wise, I rarely ate what everyone else was eating as I am a healthy eater and am very careful in what I eat (but majority of the time was super jealous of the meals, as everyone ate delicious looking and amazing meals!). They were very accommodating with my eating habits and always provided healthy options for me.
HOC is also extremely homey, cozy, and really easy to settle into. I was greeted with nothing but kindness, and that stayed throughout my hole time there.
I recommend HOC for anyone who has behavioural issues, substance abuse, or just needs to help themselves. HOC and the things I took away from it will always be with me.
